Our Client, a highly regarded industry law firm is seeking multiple Real Estate Law Clerks to join their Toronto office. The role will allow you to utilize your expertise as well as grow your professional knowledge and skills – taking you to the next level! The ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and have a minimum of three years experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist all lawyers in the firm with any type of Teraview registration and/or searches.
- Perform PPSA searches, Corporate Searches, Title searches, Off-Title Searches, interpret the results of same and complete checklists for review by the responsible lawyer.
- Manage and complete purchase and mortgage files
- Commercial/residential purchases, sales, mortgages, refinancing, lending
- Draft and coordinate documents required for closing
- Drafting of various internal and external correspondence
- Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure a smooth closing of transactions.
- Update legal assistant with any changes required to Closing List in a timely manner for all files under your supervision.
- Daily and accurate billing on all matters.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk.
- Extensive experience completing purchase, sale and mortgage transactions.
- Experience with UNITY, Teraview and PC Law.
- An ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently on multiple files simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commercial real estate experience an asset.
