Real Estate Law Clerk

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of real estate transactions from opening to closing
- Conducting and reviewing title and off-title enquiries and preparing search summaries
- Preparing transaction documents including closing/security documents, and Teraview registrations (land titles and registry)
- Preparing reporting letters and closing books
- Preparing title requisition letters and responses to title requisition letters
- Ordering and negotiating owner and lender policies of title insurance
- Preparing title opinions and detailed title memoranda
- Attending closings
- Ability to correspond with clients, law clerks, lenders, real estate brokers and agents, mortgage brokers and agents and municipalities
- Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings, conduct docketing and billing, and other administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience of related experience
- Law Clerk Diploma required
- Strong technical skills in Unity, Teraview, PC Law and corporate software
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Knowledge of legal procedures, legislation, statutes and governmental practices
- Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, while respecting tight deadlines
- Superior customer services skills
- Operates with a high degree of accuracy and has strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting yea
