Our Client is looking for an Intermediate or Senior Law Clerk who brings strong civil litigation experience and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves for clerking and administrative tasks. You’ll support two lawyers: one with a thoughtful advisory and workplace investigation practice, and the other with a strong litigation focus, both involved in meaningful, often socially impactful work—including Indigenous community advocacy and broader public interest matters. Salary: Up to $85K+
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to two lawyers—one focused on workplace investigations and advisory, the other on litigation.
- Draft, format, and revise legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and memoranda.
- Handle file opening, maintenance, and closing procedures, ensuring documentation is accurate and well-organized.
- Manage calendar scheduling, meetings, and court deadlines.
- Assist with court filings and liaise with court staff and opposing counsel as needed.
- Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Coordinate logistics for workplace investigations, including scheduling interviews and organizing documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as billing support, expense tracking, and document scanning or filing.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Law Clerk, with a strong foundation in civil litigation.
- Prior experience supporting lawyers in both clerking and administrative capacities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing deadlines across different practice areas.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive and conscientious approach to work.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in social justice, Indigenous advocacy, or public interest law is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
- Fluency in French is an asset but not necessary.
