Salary: Up to $80K
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling calls, meetings and appointments
 - Requesting conflict checks, opening and closing files;
 - Communicating with clients, experts, service providers and the courts;
 - Drafting, sending, and replying to correspondence;
 - Compiling, serving, and filing motion records and other court documents;
 - Maintaining calendars and an effective bring forward (BF) system;
 - Preparing and sending invoices, and communicating with clients about billing-related matters;
 - Drafting documents based on precedents;
 - Communicating with prospective clients as a first point of contact;
 - Completing registrations for various events, conferences, and other programming;
 - Organizing and submitting expense reports;
 - File maintenance and organization including scanning and uploading into DMS (document management system);
 - Other duties related to the administration of the practice.
 
Qualifications:
- At least 3 (three) years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Corporate and/or Construction Litigation;
 - Experience in Insolvency, Corporate Restructuring, and Mergers & Acquisitions is an asset;
 - Experience with corporate finance documents and deals is an asset;
 - Deep familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly as it pertains to service rules and deadlines;
 - A keen attention to detail;
 - Strong organizational and time management skills;
 - The ability to work effectively on a team and individually;
 - Excellent communication skills;
 - Experience with technology and working in a remote/hybrid environment;
 - Experience with Case Center and Justice Services Online (JSO) portal required;
 - Experience with ACL, RelativityOne, iManage and/or OneDrive is an asset.
