Key Responsibilities
- Network systems operations and change management including Firewalls, VPN, Switches, Wi-fi, and Virtual Infrastructure
- Plan, coordinate and perform ongoing maintenance activities and disaster recovery planning
- Play a lead role in project delivery acting as a SME/technical lead in support of the firm’s roadmap
- Define, implement, and carry out processes to maintain availability, performance, and compliance with information security requirements
- Monitor network performance (availability, capacity, performance)
- Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection of data assets
- Respond to network issues and escalation requests from the Service Desk, and determine the appropriate corrective actions through root cause analysis
- Maintain Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) requirements, and propose appropriate solutions, and/or strategies to implement safeguards
- Accountable for all work assigned
- Takes initiative
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in a lead network support role
- Expertise with network architecture methodologies, standards, and tools
- An in-depth understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, and datacenters
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks products (Firewalls, VPN), Riverbed WAN optimization, Azure Cloud Networking, and VMware
- Proficiency in Routing and Switching technologies (Cisco/HPe/Aruba)
- Experience in wireless network implementation and administration
- Industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+, PCNSA)
- Experience with legal applications and services is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and oral communications skills
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to solve complex problems, present, and illustrate recommendations
