Salary: Up to $70K
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated administrative and legal support to a team of insurance defence lawyers.
- Manage all aspects of file handling, including drafting pleadings, preparing briefs, and organizing case materials.
- Coordinate litigation schedules, court deadlines, and lawyer calendars to ensure seamless workflow.
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, and opposing counsel on behalf of assigned lawyers.
- Oversee document production, e-filing, and trial preparation.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist in assembling materials for motions and discoveries.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of legal assistant experience, with a strong background in insurance defence.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume litigation files with efficiency and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office, court filing systems, and legal document software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and legal professionals.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
