Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with client’s, lawyers and courts through written correspondence and verbally;
- Meet with clients to sign various legal documents;
- Organize and track client disclosure;
- Prepare initial drafts of Financial Statements;
- Prepare initial drafts of Net Family Property Statements and Comparisons of Net Family Property Statements;
- Prepare initial drafts of Affidavits in Support of Claim for Custody or Access, Case Conference and Settlement Conference Briefs for lawyer’s review;
- Compile Motion Records, compile evidence and prepare exhibits;
- Compile Trial Records, Books of Authorities; compile evidence and prepare exhibits; prepare trial notes, trial book; summonses to witness, contact witnesses;
- Prepare Bills of Costs;
- Compiling and updating Continuing Records and Endorsement Records;
- File organization and electronic filing;
- Serving and filing documents;
- Assisting with billing duties, sending payment links to clients by email, and collecting on billings;
- New client intake, conflict searches, opening new client files; and
- Following firm guidelines, policies, and procedures; and
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ demonstrated work experience in Family Law
- Extensive knowledge of Word, DivorceMate, P.C. Law, Family Law Rules and Zoom is required
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent client service skills
- Stellar organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
