Construction Litigation Legal Assistant

Both are experienced and friendly, giving you the chance to work with some amazing legal professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, serving and filing court documents in accordance with the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and practice directions
- Organizing and prioritizing files for deadlines and limitation periods
- Preparation and editing of correspondence and legal documents including Pleadings, Orders, Consents/Authorizations, Affidavit of Documents, Motion Records, Pre-Trial Briefs and Trial Records
- Opening/Closing files
- Docketing time
- Dictations
- Preparation of Client Accounts
- Filing
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of recent working experience as a Civil or Commercial Litigation Law Clerk
- Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure
- Experience with Construction act
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
