Salary: Up to $130K (Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable
- Prepare cheque requisitions
- Prepare cheques, letters and sending payment
- Manage Final billings
- Prepare deposits
- Manage disbursements and fixed assets
- Handle Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare daily and weekly reports
- Pay litigation transaction levies
- Pay all company benefits
- Review all bank accounts online daily
- Prepare monthly management companies’ invoices
- Calculation, filing and payment of HST for the partnership and management companies
- Payroll – set up new hires in ADP payroll system – reconcile payroll
- Liaison with the firm’s bank and CPA
- Other day to day duties as required
Qualifications
- CPA designation an asset
- 4+ years bookkeeping experience within a law firm
- Advanced knowledge of EXCEL
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles
- Extensive knowledge in PCLaw
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Law Society guidelines, filing requirements and law office administration procedures.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- A self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Ability to work well with others
