They are seeking a hard-working Accounting Clerk with a minimum of 2 years working experience to join their friendly team. Your responsibilities will include issuing cheques, processing payments, assisting with administrative duties, and other related duties. Key Responsibilities
- Depositing and recording trust deposits for a multitude of real estate transactions
- Posting and notifying various parties immediately of NSF cheques
- Processing cheque requisitions and wire transfers
- Completing numerous bank reconciliations on a timely basis
- Posting client disbursements to correct matter numbers
- Issuing cheques to various vendors
- Processing credit card payments
- Assist with updating supporting schedules
- Assisting with other administrative and clerical duties
Qualifications
- College diploma in accounting
- 2-4 years of accounting experience at a law firm
- Proficient in PCLaw and Microsoft office
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to multi task and prioritize
- Liaise and interact with staff in a positive manner
- Willing to work overtime when required
