Qualifications
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in a legal accounting environment
- Minimum 2-3 years using PC Law software
- Ability to work overtime when necessary
Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable Transactions for the law firm and management company, including:
– Posting invoices
– Processing cheques and electronic payments
– Review vendor statements and reconcile same monthly
– Reconcile Accounts Payable General Ledger Account
- Process Accounts Receivable payments, include trust transfers
- Assist with various trust transactions (backup to lead Trust Clerk) throughout the month
- Process bills (backup to Senior Accounting Clerk)
- Open clients and matters (backup to Senior Accounting Clerk)
- Assist Accounting Manager with monthly bank reconciliations
- Cover other desks in the Department during absences (3 Clerks)
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
