Salary: Up to $60K
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing Motor Vehicle Accident claims and established eligibility for benefits in accordance with Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
- Communicating with insurance companies ensuring clients receive benefits as entitled under the SABS.
- Ability to work with SABS and OCF forms
- Drafting License Appeal Tribunal Applications.
- Preparation and drafting correspondence to be sent to defense counsel, insurance companies, medical institutions and clients.
- Reviewing and updating medical documentation and other file contents.
- Overall daily file maintenance.
Qualifications
- 3+ year of Accidents and Benefits experience in a law firm. Experience with CAT files and Fatalities is an asset.
- Legal Assistant diploma
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent technical skills (including MS Office, Time Matters, PC Law, ACL and Primafact)
