Legal Assistant- Wills & Estates Litigation (4041) Full Time

Job Description

Our client, named one of the Top 10 Wills, Trusts & Estates Boutique Law Firms in Canada, is looking to expand their team! The firm is actively seeking a Wills & Estates Litigation Legal Assistant who comes with a minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience. The ideal client will have exceptional written and verbal communication as well as impeccable interpersonal and organizational skills. This firm offers an outstanding working environment and a generous compensation package. 

Salary: Up to $60K   

Primary Duties Include
  • Prepare & Revise legal documents
  • Review documentation and claims from new files
  • Assist with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
  • Opening and closing files, calendar management, arranging meetings and diarizing court-related dates
  • Maintaining daily contact with clients
  • Other general duties as required

  Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Wills and Estates experience
  • Legal assistant diploma plus additional courses an asset
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure relating to estates
  • Strong technical skills (including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
