Condominium Law Clerk (4165) Full Time

Job Description

Condominium clerks - you are in demand.  Our client, a well-established and reputable North York law firm is currently seeking a Legal Assistant/ Clerk to support a busy Condominium / Real Estate practice. The perfect candidate must possess excellence in communication, time keeping, and project management skills. 

Primary Duties Include:
  • Assist team on large scale condominium projects
  • Entering purchase and sale agreements in document management system
  • Work with accounting department to administer condominium deposits
  • Process/close interim closings and final closings
  • Communicate professionally with all clients and other lawyers’ offices
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information and instructions
  • Preparing reporting letters for interim and final closings and accounts
  • Filing
  • Draft and amend correspondence
  • Prepare various documents in Teraview including Transfers, Charges, Discharges, Notices etc.
  • Organize and maintain filing system
  • Some reception relief
  • Other duties, as required.  
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Working experience in Residential Real Estate
  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Should have working knowledge of Teraview, Word or WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook and Conveyancer
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure completion of all required tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
