Insurance Defence Litigation Legal Assistant
Our Client, a highly reputable boutique law firm, is seeking an Insurance Defence Litigation Legal Assistant to join their lively office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience, with an emphasis on insurance defence, and stellar organizational skills. Salary: Up to $62K
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting legal documents (including motion records, pre-trial/mediation memos, pleadings etc.
- Dealing with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
- Drafting correspondence, notices of examination, etc.
- Scheduling and managing calendar
- Maintaining daily contact with clients
- Other general duties as required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Insurance Defence Litigation
- Legal Assistant Diploma
- Familiarity with JSO filings
- Prioritize effectively while paying attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Technical proficiency (Caselines, Outlook, MS Office)
