Salary: $95K++
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of routine litigation proceedings.
- Prepare affidavits of documents, refusals, and motions.
- Draft and enforce court orders, including garnishments, and perfect appeals.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence investigations through to judgment and enforcement.
- Support civil and commercial litigation matters at all levels of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada, including tribunals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of law clerk experience in litigation.
- Experience handling complex litigation files is required.
- Completion of a recognized Law Clerk post-secondary program.
- eDiscovery experience is an asset (e.g., Relativity).
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong word processing, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Proven time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills; ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter with the ability to follow up independently on files and outstanding matters.
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
