Litigation Team Lead (Hybrid Remote)
Our Client, a dynamic and growing law firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a confident Litigation Team Lead to join their busy office. This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on litigation work and leadership, supporting a team in a fast-paced but collaborative environment. You’ll receive full in-office training to get you up to speed, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week once fully onboarded. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines
- Draft clear and precise affidavits
- Prepare and organize instruction worksheets for efficient case management
- Monitor and enforce strict litigation deadlines and procedural requirements
- Conduct thorough file reviews to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on file status through email and case management systems
- Manage and execute online court filings and document submissions
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, including Superior Court and Small Claims
- Strong affidavit drafting skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of Family Law an asset
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative as a self-starter
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Office suite
- Diploma in Law Clerk, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal studies
- Highly detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
