Salary: Up to $42K
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of various informational reports;
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner;
- Preparation of various bank deposits;
- Preparation of client invoices;
- Review and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation;
- Process client/vendor payments: EFT’s, online bill payments, wire transfers & manual cheques;
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues;
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, maintaining financial databases;
- Assist with other tasks and projects as they arise; and
- Provide backup for other members in the Accounting Department.
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years experience in clerical accounting required;
- Post-secondary education in accounting would be an asset;
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures;
- Strong numeric and data entry skills;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Soluno experience would be an asset;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- High level of interpersonal skills; and
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
