Salary: Up to $80K (Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, format, and proofread a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Coordinate workflow and delegate tasks to internal support teams, ensuring timely completion
Assist lawyers with litigation matters, including preparing pleadings, coordinating filings and service, and supporting hearings and trials
Manage calendars, court deadlines, and key dates, including scheduling discoveries, hearings, and client meetings
Maintain and organize physical and electronic files for efficient document management and retrieval
Liaise with courts, external agencies, and clients; manage incoming calls, correspondence, and mail
Support administrative and financial processes, including time entry, billing coordination, and file openings
Provide general administrative support, including travel coordination, meeting logistics, and team assistance as needed
Qualifications
Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a litigation legal assistant role
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures
Excellent attention to detail with advanced proofreading, editing, and formatting skills
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow up on files with minimal supervision
High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Flexibility to occasionally work overtime as required
