  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Process and post accounts payable invoices and client disbursements
  • Process cheque batches
  • Communication with vendors, staff and legal professionals
  • Obtain signatures on cheques
  • Trust account entries
  • Assist with year-end preparation for partnership and related entities
  • Monthly billing
  • Monthly management reporting to lawyers (A/R, WIP, billings and collections)
  • Other duties as required


  • Minimum 3 years’ of accounting experience in a law firm
  • Sound knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in PC Law, Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of accounting with excellent organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy, ability to work quickly
  • Ability to work well as a team as well as independently under tight deadlines
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills with excellent communication, both oral and written
