Our Toronto based client, a reputable name in the Plaintiff Personal Injury world, is searching for a tech savvy and organized legal assistant. You must be detailed oriented, have exceptional administrative skills and the ability to prioritize. Candidates must also come with at least 6 months of AB experience in a legal assistant position.   Up to $48K

Primary Duties Include

  • Preparation and drafting of correspondence and legal documents 
  • Scheduling appointments, court dates, examinations, medical appointments and general calendar maintenance
  • Review documentation and claims from new files
  • Organize and request productions and medical documentation from clients
  • Assist with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
  • Opening and closing files
  • Maintaining daily contact with clients and liaise with lawyers
  • Other duties as required  
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of Accident Benefits experience in a law firm
  • Legal Assistant Diploma
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
