Legal Assistant – Intellectual Property/Corporate Law (3124) Full Time

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of Intellectual Property and/or Corporate law experience, be technically savvy and possess strong communication qualities. Salary: Up to $58K

Primary Duties Include

  • Prepare necessary legal documents, resolutions and closing transactions, billing and expenses
  • Maintain filing system and database
  • Handle billing, filing, accounts receivable
  • Produce, edit, scan and convert legal documents
  • Liaise professionally with internal and external clients
  • Monitor corporate stationery and order as required
  • Perform document version comparisons and revisions
  • Schedule Management
  • Work with all forms of legal documents
  • Other administrative duties as required  

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within Intellectual Property and/or Corporate Law
  • Legal Assistant Diploma plus additional courses an asset
  • Strong technical proficiency (MS Office Suite, digital dictation)
  • Fast, accurate dictation transcription
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
