Salary: Up to $70K (Experience Based)


Qualifications

  • Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma from a recognized college;
  • 5 to 10 years experience as a Legal Assistant;
  • Ability to provide support to multiple lawyers and work as a part of a team;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and strong proofreading skills;
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Experience with Worldox document management system would be an asset, however, training will be provided as well;

Key Responsibilities
  • Working with relevant partner, associate lawyers and law clerks to provide support to matters as well as overall client relationship, including, liaison with client’s staff and administration to schedule, arranging and coordinating meetings, undertake administrative follow up from meetings, etc.;
  • Provide support to relevant partner and associate lawyers in relation to Outlook calendar and scheduling management, including, booking and coordinating of internal and external meetings, managing meeting invites, undertaking administrative follow up from internal meetings;
  • Prepare, format, proofread and edit a variety of documents including correspondence, memoranda, PowerPoint presentations, and various litigation documents including facta, notices of motions, and affidavits;
  • Assisting relevant partner, associate lawyers and law clerks with file management and organization of materials on the firm’s document management system, including, ensuring documents properly saved to matters;
  • Perform a variety of routine, substantive, complex and legal and administrative duties for assigned partner, associate lawyers and law clerks;
  • Various other tasks as assigned.
