Legal Assistant – Corporate (3289) Full Time

Job Description

Our client is a boutique law firm looking to hire a Corporate Legal Assistant to join their firm in Downtown Toronto. If you have at least 2 years of corporate law experience, then we want to hear from you! Apply today in the strictest of confidence.

$40K - $50K
Primary Duties Include

  • Organize and maintain client files
  • Draft, transcribe and type legal documents
  • Organize and expedite flow of work
  • Draft and respond to correspondence
  • Initiate follow-up as required and communicate with clients
  • Calendar management, scheduling meetings and book boardrooms
  • Prepare and coordinate client billings
  • Perform administrative duties including accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, cheque requisitions, etc.
  • Perform administrative and general office and other duties as assigned
  • Other administrative duties as required  
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications  

  • Minimum 2 years of labour & litigation experience in a law firm
  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Ability to speak/write French is an asset but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and French
  • MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and advanced MS Word 2010
  • Detail oriented with good proofreading, multi-tasking skills, strong
  • organizational and time management skills
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work well independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision
