Law Clerk – Corporate (3257) Full Time

Job Description

Our client is a highly respected and established law firm located in the downtown core. This law firm has an opening for an Intermediate Corporate Law Clerk. Candidates must come with at least 5+ years of corporate experience. Excellent benefits, stability and a congenial work environment. This firm is actively interviewing. Salary: $70K - $75K
Primary Duties Include

  • Complete various tax and corporate forms along with general correspondence under the Canada Business Corporations Act and the Ontario Business Corporations Act
  • Prepare documents and record books to organize corporations
  • Assist with Business Number and Program Accounts registrations with CRA and provincial tax registrations
  • Extract information and file notices using Cyberbahn
  • Minute book and general filing
  • Assist with department precedents
  • Enter dockets on a daily basis
  • Other general duties as required

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Corporate Law Clerk role within a law firm
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work within a team and independently;
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Corplink software would be an asset
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
