Law Clerk – Employment (3090) Full Time

Primary Duties Include

  • Managing incoming mail and emails, legal documents and file Summaries
  • Liaison with Lawyers, Courts, Boards, Panels and Arbitrators
  • Assist with schedule and calendar management, digital dictation, expense reporting, dockets and Accounts
  • Maintaining electronic and physical filing
  • Corresponding with clients
  • Photocopying, filing, etc.
  • Client intake
  • Other duties as required

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Employment law
  • Law Clerk/ILCO Certification
  • Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Experience with Arbitration, Collective Bargaining procedures and the OLRB an asset
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong grammar and spelling skills
  • Stellar technical skills (including MS Office, DMS and Adherent accounting software)
  • Ability to work well independently under minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
  • Must be extremely flexible to meet the daily needs of the practice
  • Excellent technical abilities
