Salary: $45K+ (Based on Experience)
Location: Markham (Hybrid Remote)
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the management of Accident Benefits and Tort files from intake through to resolution
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and forms
Communicate with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties as required
Organize and maintain both electronic and physical file systems
Prepare and manage documentation for hearings, mediations, and settlements
Support lawyers with file preparation, including gathering medical records and other supporting documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date file notes and case management entries
Manage deadlines, calendars, and scheduling related to active files
Assist with general administrative duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury law
Experience in commercial matters is an asset
Experience handling both Accident Benefits and Tort matters is required
Strong understanding of personal injury processes and file progression
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Completion of a Law Clerk diploma or equivalent is an asset
Strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality
