Supporting 2–3 lawyers, you will play a key role in managing files, anticipating needs, and keeping day-to-day operations running seamlessly. What You’ll Do
File Management: Oversee personal injury files from intake through to resolution, ensuring all documentation is organized, up to date, and easily accessible.
Document Preparation: Draft, format, and revise correspondence, pleadings, mediation briefs, and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering information, and maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
Scheduling & Coordination: Manage calendars, book discoveries, mediations, and appointments, and coordinate with opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.
Medical & Litigation Support: Request and track medical records, prepare summaries, and assist with productions and undertakings.
Administrative Oversight: Keep files progressing by monitoring deadlines, maintaining bring-forward systems, and supporting lawyers with day-to-day practice needs.
What You Bring
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Legal Assistant within a law firm environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and familiarity with legal software and file management systems.
Organization: A natural ability to manage multiple files and competing priorities without losing attention to detail.
Communication: Clear, professional, and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Judgment & Initiative: The ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve proactively, and work with minimal supervision.
Client-Centred Approach: A calm, empathetic, and professional manner when dealing with clients navigating sensitive situations.
