Our client, a large full-service national law firm is expanding! They are looking for bright and talented Business Law Legal Assistant Floaters to work in their downtown Toronto office. $55K - $65K

Primary Duties Include

  • Maintain workflow amongst multiple lawyers
  • Prepare, edit, format, revise and modify a variety of complex legal documents, and presentations adhering to the Firm’s practices
  • Coordinate and disperse tasks to be performed by various groups
  • Open new files, maintain large complex files, utilize an orderly filing and retrieval system
  • Coordinate calendar management, travel arrangements, travel expense reports, etc.
  • Liaise with other team members to coordinate workload
  • Review and screen incoming calls, mail and fax communications as directed by lawyers
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Legal Assistant experience with emphasis on corporate, securities and/or business law
  • Legal Assistant diploma plus additional courses an asset
  • Exceptional technical skills particularly in MSW 2010, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong word processing skills including superior accuracy and proofreading
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow-up on files and delays with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and prioritization skills
