Law Clerk – Insurance Defence (3302) Full Time
Job Description
Our client is a downtown boutique law firm devoted
to the highest standard of professionalism and client service. They are seeking
to hire an administrative assistant or junior law clerk with at least 2 years
of experience. This candidate will be assisting the president and part-time
counsel of the firm. A strong attention to detail and professionalism is

Salary: $40K
Primary Duties Include
- Drafting documents, correspondence and preparing files/documents for meetings, service and filing with the court
- Maintaining contact and positive rapport with clients
- Schedule meetings, conference calls and work with Associates in management of calendars and deadlines
- Liaising with court personnel on court filings, appearances and court documents
- Dealing with individuals at various levels internally and externally
- Send letters via facsimile and prepare couriers
- Update and manage Continuing Records and Filing
- Assist with reception duties
- Assist in indexing disclosure, general file management and maintenance
- Other duties as required
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a law firm.
- Legal Assistant diploma
- Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, PC Law)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and anticipate needs, adjust to changing priorities and handle tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with diplomacy and professionalism
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
