Our client based in North York, a Plaintiff Personal Injury firm known for providing top level service for their clients, is seeking a stellar Legal Assistant to help manage a busy practice. The ideal candidate will have Accident Benefits experience, a good grasp of the subject matter, ability to balance their workload and respond to routine tasks with minimal supervision. Up to $45K

Primary Duties Include

  • Preparation of materials for discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and LAT applications
  • Ability to work with SABS and OCF forms
  • Preparation and drafting of correspondence
  • Schedule management
  • Opening and closing files
  •  Maintaining positive rapport with clients
  • Other administrative duties as required  

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Accident Benefits
  • Legal Assistant diploma (plus additional courses an asset)
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent technical skills (including MS Office, Time Matters, PC Law, ACL and Primafact)
