Legal Assistant – Corporate Franchise (3195) Full Time

Job Description

Our large and highly reputable downtown Toronto client is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their group of corporate franchise and mergers & acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience and the ability to handle various tasks under tight deadlines. Up to $55K

Primary Duties Include

  • Preparing necessary legal documents, billing and expenses
  • Schedule Management
  • Maintenance of extensive filing system and databases
  • Coordinating Minute Book retrieval
  • Maintain the master corporate file spreadsheet
  • Work with all forms of legal documents
  • Docket editing and processing accounts
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Monitor corporate stationery and order as required
  • Perform corporate and due diligence searches online as requested
  • Other administrative duties as required  

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Corporate Law
  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Superior organizational and multitasking
  • abilities
  • Proficient technical skills in MS Office
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize appropriately
  • Candidate must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work well in a busy team environment and have a positive attitude
  • Flexible, team player that is client service oriented
