The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience and will be able to handle a significant administrative component. Salary: Up to $58K

Primary Duties Include

  • Organize and maintain client files
  • Draft, transcribe and type legal documents
  • Organize and expedite flow of work
  • Draft and respond to correspondence
  • Initiate follow-up as required and communicate with clients
  • Calendar management, scheduling meetings and book boardrooms
  • Prepare and coordinate client billings
  • Perform administrative duties including accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, cheque requisitions, etc.
  • Other duties as required  

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant
  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Strong technical skills (including Microsoft Office, CMS, PDF docs and InterAction)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and clients
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
