Law Firm Billing Specialist (2907) Full Time

Job Description

Our client is a boutique Litigation law firm who are dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation to their clients. They are currently seeking a billing specialist for their accounting department. Candidates are required to have at least 5 years of experience. Knowledge of PC Law and E-billings experience is required. Law firm experience is a must. The successful candidate must be very accurate with numbers and have the ability to work effectively with tight deadlines. Salary: $50K - $55K

Primary Duties Include

  • Handle a high volume of billings on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Identify matters with escrow and/or unapplied cash balances and coordinate with the billing lawyer and the AR/Collections Specialist
  • Manages the PC Law Client Files  and data inside of PC Law to ensure its accuracy, timeliness and completeness
  • Appealing E-billing protocols; dealing with monthly rejections of all e-bills
  • Liaising with lawyers regarding any budgeting requirements
  • Generate weekly WIP report and maintain a list of unbilled pro formas for follow up
  • Time entry and prepare monthly and quarterly WIP reports within the time requirements
  • Ensure compliance with client guidelines and protocols, firm approval procedures
  • Reconcile client ledgers based on billing and payments on a monthly basis
  • Send invoices for clients using electronic invoicing via third party vendor websites
  • Perform other duties as required to achieve firm objectives

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Billing & Invoicing with emphasis in e-billing using platforms such as Tymetrix360 and Counsel Link
  • Degree or diploma in accounting or Courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with 4 years’ experience as a financial or accounting clerk
  • Strong knowledge of PC Law and Trust accounting
  • Highly proficient in MS Outlook and excel including pivot tables
  • Experience working independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to set priorities and produce quality work under tight timelines
  • Solve complex problems efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to build relationships with all levels of staff and clients
