One of Toronto's most respected personal injury and medical malpractice law firms, conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, requires a "Superstar" to work as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Legal Assistant. Someone with 4+ years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience who can slide smoothly into the role is preferred. You will be handling files for the Managing Partner from beginning to end, so expertise is a must! Bring your outgoing personality and professional attitude and we'll do the rest! Salary: Up to $58K 

Primary Duties Include

  • Record-keeping
  • Preparation and editing of correspondence and legal documents (including motion records, pre-trial/mediation memos, pleadings, affidavits of documents, etc.)
  • Review documentation and claims from new files
  • Assist with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
  • Maintaining daily contact with clients
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Handling of files from beginning to end
  • Maintaining daily contact with clients
  • Preparing email and mail correspondence
  • Other administrative duties as required 
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • 4+ years’ experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury
  • Legal Assistant certificate/diploma plus additional courses
  • Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure essential
  • Must be able to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical skills (including MS Office applications)
