Law Clerk that is professional, experienced and well-versed in
Litigation law.
This Downtown Toronto law firm needs a clerk
with 3+ years of Litigation experience. You must be a team player and
have the ability to work with sensitive matters! If you love what you do

Salary: 40-50K
Primary Duties Include
- Prepare, review, summarize and draft pleadings, affidavits, mediations, pre-trial memoranda, motion materials and various court documentation
- Assemble case materials
- Manage e-discovery system
- Act as a liaison between lawyer/client and lawyer/opposing counsel as needed
- Conduct client interviews and updates
- Draft memorandums and correspondence
- Review, manage and summarize transcripts of examinations, undertakings and refusals
- Liaise between lawyers, clients and opposing counsel
- Perform a variety of clerking duties including organizing and maintaining litigation files
- Trial preparation
- Various other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Litigation Law Clerk; must have Case Logistix or Summation experience
- Successful completion of a Law Clerk Diploma
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ACL Software and Elite docketing software
- Prior experience in similar role working with sexual abuse clients an asset
- Experience with Court of Appeal and Supreme Court filings
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Must be extremely flexible to meet the daily needs of the practice
