Primary Duties Include:

  • Process and post accounts payable invoices and client disbursements
  • Process cheque batches
  • Communication with vendors, staff and legal professionals
  • Some account analysis
  • Obtain signatures on cheques
  • Banking duties
  • Filing and storage
  • Other related duties as required  
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must have Accounts Payable experience in a law firm or professional services firm
  • Post-secondary education, or enrollment in an Accounting degree program
  • Experience with Aderant (CMS) software preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of accounting with excellent organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy, ability to work quickly
  • Ability to work well as a team as well as independently under tight deadlines
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills with excellent communication, both oral and written
