The ideal candidate should have 3+ years corporate clerking experience, strong analytical skills, able to multitask and be an exceptional communicator.

Based On Experience

Primary Duties Include:

  • Incorporations and organizations
  • Extra-provincial registrations
  • Business name registrations
  • Amendment documents pertaining to name change, change of number of directors and change of registered head office
  • Short-form amalgamations and simple continuances
  • Standardized share conditions
  • Other basic corporate documents
  • Requesting and interpreting corporate searches, then reviewing and summarizing the information gathered
  • Conducting basic minute book reviews, with supervision and direction
  • Maintaining and updating databases
  • Assisting with the preparation or filing of other documents

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Law Clerk studies
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate law
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency with MS Office
  • Client-service oriented, including strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skill
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative thinking skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and adjust to changing needs of the Firm
